The Mysterious Word

Good morning.
About 2 weeks ago, I was busy minding my own business when I heard the Spirit remind me of a particular incident in the Bible. I did a quick scan in my life to confirm if the word was for me but I couldn't find anything I was doing that fitted it. So, I held my peace, meditated on it for a while and in the busyness of the day, I forgot about it. That day was so busy that I decided to have a late lunch.
By the time I went for lunch, the canteen was nearly empty. The two people I met there were almost rounding up. Not long after they left, a young lady that I talk with once in a while on a surface level came in. Apparently, she went for a meeting and had to have a late lunch too. She joined me at my table. After exchanging pleasantries, we continued eating. Suddenly, she said 'Can I ask for your opinion on a matter?' As she narrated her issue, the Holy Spirit reminded me of the mysterious word I received earlier in the day - IT WAS FOR HER! When she was done with her narrative, I immediately gave her the message and she readily agreed.
By priviledge of some positions I've held and currently hold, as well as some discussions I've had, I've seen a lot of prayer requests. I love the fact that a lot of us love to pray. In my opinion, it is a great habit to cultivate. I hope we love to receive answers too? Sometimes, God's answer to our prayer is - Ok, answer provided immediately. Sometimes, it's - Received, processing. Sometimes, it's - Received, syntax error...
I'll talk about a type of #3.
"Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts." (James 4:3).

Why do you want God to do what you're asking Him to do? And why do you want it in that particular way?

Someone says, 'I've sown seeds', 'I've given all I have to the poor' etc. I have to say that there is nothing wrong with doing any of these things; the Bible enjoins us to do them. However, if our motive for doing them is to get God to bend to our will - SYNTAX ERROR (You can ask Google for what it means, lol).

The 'mysterious word' I received was in Numbers 22:21-35. You should read it and be instructed. The Holy Spirit told me that some of us are so bent on having things OUR way that no matter who/what stands in our way, we are ready to slay them the same way Balaam would have slain that ass that was trying to help him. We are using prayer as a means of getting OUR own way. I need to confess that I am not guiltless in this matter...I was just not guilty at the time the Word came, hehehehe. I found this scripture that might interest someone that laid a wrong foundation (e.g. Married another woman's husband) and is hoping to make things work out for her by observing rituals and whatever else tickles your fancy...
"For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem." (Psalm 51:16-18).
Please read the whole of Psalm 51 to get the whole context.
I pray for us all that we will learn to surrender our will/way to God, even in prayer. May we say with Mary "...be it unto me according to thy word..." (Luke 1:38).

And I say to you, like Elizabeth said to Mary "And blessed is she (he) that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her (him) from the Lord." (Luke 1:45).
Have a blessed and productive day.
